We met on a random Wednesday night in May 2022. I had just graduated from nursing school and was getting ready to start my new job at Piedmont Athens Regional. At the time, I was living in Athens with two of my close friends. That night, my roommate Riley invited me to hang out with a guy she’d been talking to and some of his friends. With no plans besides ice cream in my PJs, I figured—why not?
Among the group was a guy who barely said a word to me. I couldn’t tell if he was shy or just not interested. It wasn’t until we moved on to the next bar that his friend, Jon Milledge, stepped in to play matchmaker. We finally started talking, and the rest is history.
It took a few months to officially start dating—he had just moved to Mississippi for work, and I stayed in Athens. But we made the long-distance work with lots of FaceTime calls, weekend visits, and Georgia football. Now, over two years later, we’re finally in the same place, ready for this next chapter—together.
